fyi, someone's developing a new midi-retrofit for the jp4, somewhat analogous to europa for the the jp6 - info here who knows the price or how well it will be implemented, looks cool though.

i hope it will make it
I spoke on phone few months ago wit a guy who is " making this kit " called tibor from hungary////
I hope that midi will be born someday!!!
"never taken out of box" more like it.. I scored a Juno-6 in that condition as well. Sometimes we get lucky.
I won a Space Echo RE-201, now waiting for it to arrive...
WoW!!!
And I thought my JP4 was mint!! I saved those box pictures
I think this is an early version with the early filters, judging from the screws.
The IO upgrade for the Jupiter-4 looks neat, not for the midi but mainly the CPU modification : double the patches, modification of the patches and more.
I want good midi for this JP4
i thought even of expensive KENTON!!!!
I have other JP4 .... ehehe .. but that one goes to new home in 2 days!!. .will keep new beauty!!!
and BTW .. that rices on evil bay goes crazy on JP4... damn 2499$ is a lot ... BUT i think this is one of few left synths that were very underated by ppl !!!!
I think its one of best polysynths ever made!!!!!!
There's a new midi kit about to come out for the JP with extra and adjustable memories, patch dump and full midi control of all parameters!! Definitely worth waiting for. For sure the JP4 is a great polysynth.
Not as versatile as some of the them but very 70's discrete sounding. Plus that lfo is the bomb. That and my OBX are the two most organic sounding polysynths I have.
that j4 looks nice. i built the kit from chd elektroservis in one from a friend, and it works flawless, but doesn't have all the extended stuff. then again, do you need that really?
but as nice as the j4 is, im' even more impressed with the emulator 2 find.. nice work! where did you find it and how much did you pay?

It was used by Polish pop-hero Seweryn Krajewski. He was selling his stuff in musical second-hand shop.
I paid 500 euros.
I've got E2, whole box of disks, spare memory chips and original manuals.
Between disks I found floppy with sounds from this Krajewski's crap :

Nice Roland Jupiter-4 MIDI-kit without soldering from Czech Republic:

looks like mine gonna get CHD
I like it!!!
whell I wanna use Jp4
and if this ever pump on sale I can easily replace it in JP4
right?
I'm sure you can, the kit is supposed to come out in "weeks not months" if I remember correctly what he wrote. I will probably be at leat double the price if not much more, but personnally I'd wait and see unless you're in a hurry to use it of course.
It'll have midi in/out, 4x the memory (which can be modified) and a second page
tr-505 for $37 US can't wait to mess with it later on today
also might want to have my first go at circuit bendin with this one.. seems a lot of people screw with their 505
if not circuit bending then maybe just try and put some wood panels or a paint job . would be nice to have it looking nice and to try it on somethin that didn't cost me a great deal of money
will probably buy me a roland d50 with a m.ex extension board next week..
hope it's worth it
yamah tx-81z my latest dx/tx purchase. got this cause I missed the dx100 and dx-21 and dx-7 and dx-27 i had : (
Alpha juno-1 nice little companion for my JX-3p. different sounding in a more late 80s early 90s techno/ambient style
and the BEST for last:
soundcraft folio mixer- one of the best mixers for a small live setup. sweeping mids on the eq, 2 auxes, and short faders. i wish it had para mid eq on the stereo channels though! the mute buttons on the mackie 1202 are good but i find it difficult to mix stuff together live with rotary faders. I hate long ass faders like some of the other folio mixers so this is a nice compromise

got waldorf blofeld this weekend. only had a few hours to play with it. mixed impressions. looks like it has few glitches like no saving multitimbral patches that should be fixed in the latest OS. modulation possibilities very extensive, much more than I can make sense of right now. seems like it's my first peace of gear that I will have to invest quite some time into to get the best of it.
Just took delivery of a Boss DR110. Plugged it in, the individual pads work but the start button doesn't work.
Damn you all to hell e-bay sellers or am I just pressing the wrong button?
got this 4 track recorder from a friend.
he doesn't know what to do with it and has had it in his garage for 10 years or so.
cleaned it and everything works exept for the tape deck. seems that the engine isn't strong enough to pull that tape anymore, or maybe the rubber belt is just too slippery and long. any ideas how to fix the recorder?
edit: managed to fix it with spare parts from a c64 tape drive!
Akai ME15F
Roland U-110
Nothing amazing.. but.. oh well..

jeezzzzzzzzzzzzz

I love it!!
got it from him for 250 euro
