Re: What are you robots reading right now?
Michel Houellebecq's 'The Possibility of an island'. Houellebecq always hits me in the face big time. Once I wake up I start begging for more. Strange.

i've read noble house by the same author.
only 50 pages in, so far it
Greg Egan -Schild's Ladder
very good hardcore sci
just starting:::
20p from charity shop.
pure futurism
re-reading this now...
Got me some books.
Translation: 'How do we get rid of religion?' An uncomfortable paradox
over and over!. the 3 issues are just incredible.
an amazing writer. i just wish his sentences didn't span an entire page
A tough nut but pretty interesting still:
------------
starts good but.. meh.. a weak 2.8 of 5
100 pages or so is just filling to make book thicker
(far better than the film tho.. it's gets a lousy 1 of 5)
and
and 5 or so other titles. I always read too many books at the same time to ever finish anything in less then half a year!
Is/was it good? I just (re-)read Kallocain by Karin Boye a while ago and thought I'll soon have to educate myself with the dystopian classics I've not read yet too. We and London's The Iron Heel at least.
The Code Book, by Simon Singh
The Secret History of Codes and Code Breaking
Very interesting if you're into codes, ciphres and secret languages.
The Historical aspect containing mathematics, linguistics, development of codes, interpretations of forgotten languages, cipher machines (including the Enigma in World War II) and descriptions of how different intelligence agencies work are really exciting.
I managed to solve the first two of the ten ciphres at the end of the book (originally this was a contest where the first to decipher all ten would get a £10 000 reward)
I'll have a try with the third one but then I think my very limited knowledge in this kind of stuff (including computer programming) prevents me from further attempts...
