LekkeR!
Still need to decorate a bit after rebuilding the floor (had to rip out carpet and 3 feet of drywall after a basement flood), but once the synths were up decorating just kind of fell by the wayside. Priorities.
Thanks Tony. Between the RME and Biamp are a Chandler Germanium, an API A2D, and an older MOTU Midi Express XT. Robot on the left is a "Music Robot" - weird early 80's Japanese walking/music playing robot - and the robot on the right is a dog toy from Old Navy.
very nice! heavy setup there to the right. do you do your mixing on the mac?
Yep I mix everything on the Mac using Live/APC40. No room for a proper mixer.
The Eternal Studio rebuild.. part 5.1 (still a bit to go)_
Nice setups!
they are, but i still see too much money spent on synths, fx, sound cards, etc, and not enough on a decent mixer!
Hehe I was waiting for that Rude! Build me a bigger room/house and I promise I'll buy a proper mixer.

well, I also see a lot of people buying analog synths and drums but only a few have proper effects.. Imo most analog stuff is pretty boring without..
Yes, a worthwhile mixer is out of reach for me, so I decided to spend on some nice pres and fx instead. I don't feel like a mixer would improve much for me personally. I can't see sound quality or workflow improving drastically over my current setup...though "mixing" with the APC40 isn't the most inspiring thing in the world. I see a nicer control surface in my future.
Computerdisco - what's in the rack underneath the Kenton?

yeah you have some nice fx! Whats that thing at the bottom, something from AKG/Tapco?

Yep, Tapco 4400 spring reverb.

ah ok, I have one too but with blue interface.. I use and like it a lot

Its a very boring but very useful 8 in 8 out midi USB patchbay..
It was cheaper by £80 than the MOTU one.. seems very good. timing ect is fine (as well as can be expected for a computer sequenced setup anyway).
