I received my black Alesis MMT-8 this afternoon and I'm completely smitten. Looks like I finally found a sequencing solution that's perfect for my needs.
It's a breeze to use, has no unnecessary bells and whistles and the timing is tighter than a nun's pussy.

5U transformed Blacet Miniwave - wavetable osc
Coz i like digital sounds but like to wiggle knobs dawg!
The miniwve is amazing!
Great distortion unit to.
Ah, the miniwave. One of the reasons I still have 6U of euro.
Played with a bunch of softsynths last night in Cubase for the first time in whatever. Really like XILS 3. Really nice sound. I bought in a pack for half price when Polykobol II came out but hadn't played with it before.
XILS PolyKB2 (emulation of the french RSF Polykobol) is just amazing! Cpu hog but the sound is very very nice for a softsynth, I'm sure few purists here would be quite amazed too .. Sami from Bangkok Impact did this demo track for it, only sounds from Polykb2 used except for the drums:

Sounds good no?
FINALY
after 6 months since i paid it ...
It came in perfect condition.. and best boxed package ever !!!
moog modular - KING!!!
nice!
Good news: Got a fantastic looking Arp Pro Soloist (early model right after the soloist) for $100 bucks today.
Bad news: Only half the keys play, none of the touch controls seem to work.
Good news: All the sounds, filter and all other features work. Tracks over octaves. Sounds fantastic.
Bad news: Goddamn, you buy a Pro Soloist for the touch controls! I'd rather only have one octave or even two consecutive keys working if all the touch stuff worked.
Not sure whether I want to pour a few hundred into getting it fixed up or just taking it to the bay where I could get $500-$600 even in this condition. Prices have gone bananas.
I've wanted a vintage mono with touch forever though since I stupidly sold my Yamaha SY-1 so I'll probably just get it fixed. I think it's the chips that control the touch and scan the keyboard.
Oh and I "bought" a Moog Source. Just want him to test it for me over the phone first before I pay.
That XILS 3 sounds nice but an actual EMS Synthi is in a different world. Same with their PolyKB emu (when comparing it to an RSF Kobol Expander anyway, I don't own the actual PolyKobol).
tony, is that the arpeggiator?
like new in box, haven't tried it yet but I always wanted one, it was way cheaper than on eBay, and timed almost perfectly with my birthday!
These are going for funny prices on the bay right now. Holy cow.
Just realized my Source that I just bought is an older one without the sequencer reset input and Sync input. Oh well, didn't know they had different versions. Excited to get it here but man I just realized I have too many monos again. Maybe the older ones are "phatter."
