very often i like demo versions more than the final versions. i actually just wanted to ask if there is an bootleg or something of the demo version of alphaville - big in japan but then i thought that could be a nice topic aswell to post cool demos. here are two to start with:

don't know if the big in japan demo version ever was released on vinyl.

i especially love the roughness of demo versions (same goes for live versions)... but i wouldn't say that i like demo versions better than final versions.

home demo of suicide commando is nice, yeah... maybe a bit too nice for my taste. 
yeah that home demo is actally its quite boring but i kind a liked that.

I read on discogs (in the notes) it's "the demo version of 'Flucht'", that's why I put it in here.... I compared it with the 12"-version which is also called "Flucht" (German title but sung English strangely...). Compared to that the version of Flucht is quite different. Now is there also an official version of Flucht sang in German I wonder (to make things easy.... ;-)?
On the italo-front...
Don't know if it's a demo-version but this "cassette-version" of "El Misterio De Los Tomates Eléctricos " surely sounds a lot more minimalistic than on the vinyl. Could be just a "first version" or something. Both are great i.m.o.

You're right: Katastrophe is demo-version of Flucht. I read it the wrong way....duh. Katastrophe is quite (almost totally) different from Flucht, I'd say.
German version of Flucht is boss, I agree!

One doesn't outdo the other: it's the lamo-version.
