Topic: [GLA] 15.03.13 JAK: Minimal Rome Label Night // MOTHER @ STEREO

We are pleased to announce our first event of the year and more importantly we are pleased to be welcoming the mighty Minimal Rome.

A label that should need no introduction to lovers of underground dance music Minimal Rome was established in 2003 by Composite Profuse and Feedback. The label sound over the years has mostly been committed to Electro, Techno, and Acid.

Love of analogue synths and hardware equipment are prevalent in their releases with soundtrack and disco influences also showing themselves. Members of the collective have also released on quality labels including Bunker, Stilleben and Strange Life Records.

Representing Minimal Rome we have:

Heinrich Dressel - DJ
Teslasonic - Live
Mighty Raptus - Live

Also on the night we have Mother aka Mark Maxwell on deck duties. With past residencies in Glasgow (Fortified) and London (Lo Quality) as well as working on John Peel's radio show we look forward to hearing what he has in his record bag for this.

And to top it all off we have a Live Vj set by Cult Visual arts smile

Yeah he has the tunes for the occasion I'm sure.. and yes let's hope so - the MR crew deserve a good party! big_smile They will also be showcasing some of their new material during the live set - more acid / techno orientated which is due for release under the name:  'The Mighty Raptus'.

Was a real beastin' pounder of a set from Mark, good to see the MR boys working a real live set-up...pounding acid terror. Fucking shit was loud in there too, think you guys did not bad on the turn-out front...the rest of the clubs were pretty quiet.

You know but i just cannot really warm to the Stereo venue, maybe it;s the cobbled street that does my nut trying to hall a record trolley over roll . Good job, and thanks for bringing the MR lads over.

Never sampled the grub, or been to it in any other capacity than for club nites......I remember the Veronica Vasika gig was on there, i don't think i've spoken to anyone who genuinely likes the place...probly more suited to bands gigs or that.

I think the venue is cool and the veggie food is good too.

I wasn't in town for this but an excellent line up. I'll definitely try make the next one!
