The legendary Slabs of the Tabernacle return to the Star & Shadow to join forces with Newcastle-based label Signals to present; direct from Chicago, the Visionary, Artist & Producer TRAXX.

An outstanding Producer and Disk Jockey, his epic dek sessions defy all logic, merging the most obscure avant-garde with the rawest of electronic tracks. 'Dance Beyond Dance' perfectly captures the essence of his label - Nation - that, like the man himself, plays by it's own rules and whose output has included the genial talents of J.T.C, X2, Saturn V, 2AM/FM and D'Marc Cantu. As a producer you can also find his cuts on labels like L.I.E.S., Crème Organization and Light Sounds Dark.

Traxx will be providing a no-holds-barred heavy rotation of straight up and honest dance music, all night long.

In the cinema space Glasgow's Mark 'Mother' Maxwell, Bunker Records and North East auteur, Shemale, along with Signals label boss Mike McHugh will be providing the visual and aural treats for the faint hearted.

Main Room:
Traxx (Chicago/Nation)

Cinema:
Mother
Shemale (Bunker Records)
Mike McHugh (Signals from the North)

Great to hear you will be making it to the Toon Don! I've sorted out Mother a train ticket down on the Saturday as there's a crew of them coming down. So that frees up a space in your car... Ian, sounds like a trip to Newcastle is what you need!

Superb night!

The recorder stopped working and errored out at some point, and I got my bag pinched on the way home so you wouldn't have had it anyway! Apologies, the back room got recorded though.

Ahh gutted to have missed this, sorry to hear you got your bag robbed mate...i hope nothing too valuable got pinched.

On the plus side, it means you will have to replace the recorder which was clearly over & above your limited technical abilities.
