Topic: Tip: Strada - Strada LP on e-bay

Hi, all. Felt like tipping you for this one http://cgi.ebay.it/LP-STRADA-SAME-OBSCU … m153.l1262

It's kinda wanted around here (I think) because of the tracks It's The Monkey & Streetdance. Already have it myself but you might wanna have a go.

To make things clear: I'm NOT the seller. I think I reconize/know him though (and others around here might too) from the recordfair in Utrecht (Italoroberto?). On the fair the quality of his records were not that great but this one is sealed so I think it's alright. Shouldn't give you troubles I reckon. Well, its up to you.

yes buy it.. cause used copies from this one always sound crappy
it's the monkey is a killer track!

btw they pop up on ebay much lately
i think is hasn't been sold much in the past and overstocks are lying around everywhere
in italy
too bad all the italo sellers bought them allready, and it's always expensive
well i find 50 euro expensive, but it's so good hohoho..

Thought about mailing you personally about this wink and yeah maybe 50euro is too much (I payed like 70euro! for a sealed copy...). Wat is wijsheid... Maybe if you wait a while it pops up even cheaper (?). Just couldn't resist giving this tip.

and.. nu ga ik echt zeiken wink.. a record that's more than 20 years old and still is sealed
can be warped
cause pressure and heat throughout  the years can destroy your beloved record.
better to mail the seller and ask him to open it for you to see if it's not warped.
i hope no one will buy it now, so i can buy all 30 sealed ones from roberto big_smile

I've taken the chance of buying a sealed copy and had no problems (could've been lucky...).

You can always mail roberto personally about this and I'm sure he will help you.

mine was used but only slightly and it's in perfect shape. not gonna tell you how much i paid...

there's (too) many overpriced buy-it-now auctions going on. once you see a normal auction with a reasonable starting price you find out about the real (well at least ebay-ish real) market value/price. i've tried to stay away from b-i-n stuff as much as possible or i try to deal with sellers making fair offers behind ebay's back. either way, fixed price auctions should not be further supported by buying overpriced records. on the other hand there's always someone looking more desperately for that particular release...

i know for sure roby has a few of them, because of the fixed price
i know that he and other seller ( when a hidden overstock is found, like decadance in the past )
split or trade them with each other, so everybody has a cut from the cheese.

With certain records (not that many), if I want them enough, I buy them even if I know they could be overpriced. Sometimes they were, sometimes they were not. Just can't be bothered to keep on searching to find it for the "right" price too long. I don't have forever you know...

$70 is less than I paid also, but I saw one finish for only $30 not so long ago (..and yes, I cried a little on the inside.)
"Street Dance" is really the track for me, but I like "Soubrette Di Varieta" too.
Actually, I don't really like "It's The Monkey" that much.

This could be yet another example of a record that needs some time to rise from the deep vaults of Italy to the internetsurface. Like we had for instance with the Superradio-catalogue.

lol yes, had it listed for a day or 2 cos i needed money but realized i might regret it (has happened before).
