biotek: maybe it has nothing to do with not enough criticism. maybe people here like this style of music in general, otherwise they wouldn't be here. if this was a trance forum, i could post 10.000 posts with '' i think this track is shit'' as subject.
most of us musicians have no problem with criticism, we release stuff because we like it and if you don't, oh well. but it depends on the way you say it or what you say.. and same as in the edits thread from bias: if you talk like you do sometimes, you can expect to be treated the same way. what goes around, comes around..

You got a point there, I think. You can't fight about taste, right? (somehow we seem to be doing it all the time here).

It's more how people express their way of dislike about some music that bothers me sometimes. You can do this in a degrading way or on a base of equality or respect for someone else's taste. So a bit more respect for other music would solve a lot tension between the robot's different tastes.

Maybe we had this discussion before also (yes probably).
