Wave (short for synthwave): the music made by the "new wave" of musicians in the 80's who had the synthesizer (instead of the guitar) as their main instrument. If you would specify this to Italy you could call it italowave.

Are all pretty dark new wavey tracks from Italy but I wouldnt file them under "dark italo" if there is such a term. But Im sure everyone who digs Italo can enjoy these. Especially MODO which is one of my fav Italo Wave tracks.

Great suggestions, again more on the wave tip, but some of my favorite music this year.
Especially the Body Section comp, every track is incredible (even the non-electronic ones like Vox Rei)... I just noticed it's been remastered and available on CD, highest recommendation from me.
