Re: discogs votes: ask here

if yours doesn't say "second edition" then you have the original pressing indeed

btw, totally offtopic, but it seems Transient Force is returning this year. check the myspace

i mean we also have "chens". but we don't use it so often like you do!

That's because everything is so small in Holland!

new artist and new label and it's almost impossible to find anything on the internet about that record (only 1 hit on google).
label on the record says that the label is based in dover, de... so it's a british label, right?
did some research on that to get sure and found out that the label still exists and is still based in dover.
but on the label is also written that the record is engineered in baltimore, md and that's in the us!
also all the auctions of records from that label i found in the net are based in the us and sellers are mentioning "us pressing" in their descriptions.
so, what shall i do? leave the label thing on discogs blank or put uk in there?

A record can be made anywhere and be marketed for a complete different country. In the country-field you fill in for which country (or countries) the record was marketed.
B.t.w. I googled "dover, de" and that's in the US! So in this case, label and studio (and market) are US, I'd say.

You can always leave the country-field blank if you don't know (or can't see it on the record/sleeve). If you want to leave the labelfield blank you must use "Not On Label".

No offense to you, but I don't agree with these additions...
By this logic, anyone can take records out of a box set and list them separately. What is next, adding sides A/B and C/D of a 2x12" as separate entries???

The fact is, the records are part of a box set and selling them individually doesn't change that in any way.

It also makes the label page look a big mess.

Re: discogs votes: ask here

I do not agree.
there is a boxset and then there are 6 separate releases which should have their own entry
also because the release is different with the packaging (plastic sleeve + artwork inlay)

Gratuliere! I'm getting a bit tired of all those mails you get in your discogs mailbox everytime someone has changed something to a record you happen to own in your collection. Life isn't always easy as a discogsmoderator....

Re: discogs votes: ask here

Scarface, you can turn that notification off in the settings

Re: discogs votes: ask here

O.k. thanks. I think I will very soon.

because i edited it? maybe it would have been better to only post a comment about the typing errors, or?

Thanks for fixing those typos. "Phantastique" with "ph" and "Turnschuhballett" with double t...one must be German to copy that right in one time. wink Bought this one when I was Berlin b.t.w.

"Voted in the 1st two, no problem,..."
-> thank you! smile

"The cat# appears basically the same..."
-> you are right, only difference is the S in the cat#, but that should be enough to confirm that it is different from the other release, or?

"...and I think all Manhattan-Formula records were marked as "Limited Edition""
-> according to the label scans on discogs: no!

"Maybe only this one had a pic sleeve, anyone confirm this?"
-> hm, i don't know... i was just checking popsike: 2 of the 5 12" have cat# MXS-012 in the description, 2 have no info about the cat# and then there is this one (sold in 2007): http://www.popsike.com/IKO-12-DIGITAL-D … 41887.html
but maybe the last one was a fault by the seller (he just copied the bla bla from discogs and added some more bla bla on it).

me confused now... think i will contact INTERFUNK as he submitted the MX-012.

Re: discogs votes: ask here

@ hysteric
Pino Donaggio - Due Occhi Diabolici (Colonna Sonora Del Film) -> done! hmpf, still need that one!
Laurent Antony - Flies (Remix) -> check out http://www.mikemareen.de/18901/54201.html for cover and release date (beginning of 1984).
Gasfire - Is Our Life -> done!
Subodha - Can't You Hear The Music -> done! btw that cover looks great!

.

Re: discogs votes: ask here

@ hysteric
okay, problem solved!
INTERFUNK didn't mention the limited edition thing and back then it wasn't possible to add the S to the cat.# because of the rules.
so i will edit his submission and remove mine!

edit: could you please vote for removal! thanks!
