Topic: MPC 3000 help

ok I got this today (big thumb up for Gstrings)
I think the fuse is blown,it doesn't power up at all.

Does anybody know where to locate it?
tried to google it without finding anything,
I got the manual from akai but it's not helpful.

I was expecting to find a fuse holder somewhere to change the fuse from outside but it looks like I gotta open it up and check the insides.
This thing has 200 screws and I don't even know where to start from....

Re: MPC 3000 help

its probably inside by the power supply somewhere...

if you can't get it to work, i'm a cheap repair man.. big_smile

Re: MPC 3000 help

Sorted,
I used the technique called "unscrew every screw and see what happens" big_smile

I found 1 dead fuse (125V 1A) and a wire that need to be put back in place!

Re: MPC 3000 help

Ok fuse replaced,wire re soldered.
The unit powers up big_smile
I'm totally new in the mpc world so I tried to play around a bit with succesfull sampling of a few dr110 sounds,
I tried to assign to the pads but it seems that half the pad grid doesn't work.
Is this a known issue? Like pads sensors dieing?

hmmm it seems a really nice unit to work with, straight forward production,no loosing time around!
I want it 100% working tongue
Any help?

Re: MPC 3000 help
