Topic: Midi map quick question..merci

think i have dumped core a bit as i cant remeber how or if it's possible to midi map to parameteres on a plugin instrument in live 5?...like Arturia analog factory par example

they dont come up as highlighted to map to..

So you press the little icon that says midi on the upper-right hand corner?

ye but it doesnt highlight the parametres on the plug in  on any dropdown menu or on the instrument face...should it do this with a demo instrument?

maybe not with demo, it depends what kind of limitations the manufacturers put in the demo version. It's entirely possible I guess that you can't automate any parameters with a demo version

you need to hit the midi map button Ctrl + m  then on the vst there is trangle sign, when you press it it should open up to  show all the parameters in the ableton style...

depending on what vst you are using u might get mixed results

some will have their parameters named properly (filter cutoff 1 etc) some wont (parameter 0001,0002 etc) and some wont work at all (ableton has problems when there is more than 128 parmeters on a vst,, and just comes up with parameter 1)

lemme know if this is the case as there is a work around...
