Topic: Casio CZ101

the screen of my CZ-101 is dead, it real hard to program without it.
is there any (free) plug in or application which can help programing through the computer (Mac / Logic)
or CC parameter list so i could try and control it via logic environment

thanks

Re: Casio CZ101

I only of one free PC editor (http://pagesperso-orange.fr/olivar.prem … czedit.htm), which is also the only one mentioned on the Yahoo CZ group. I think Midi Quest works also for the CZ and it's available for Mac, but it ain't free.

And to be honest, the way the CZ handles sysex makes using editors a bit of a pain because you need to make a 'handshake' with every edit you make. For me that sucked the fun out of it. Perhaps it's better to try and get the display fixed or just buy a new one. It's probably less expensive than a copy of Midi Quest.

As for a list, maybe this is of help: http://web.archive.org/web/200612300412 … o-cz/sysex

Re: Casio CZ101

bummer!
seems like editer is less fun, and i'm not sure i want to pay for it. hope i can fix the display.

Re: Casio CZ101

took it to the synth doctor and surprisingly he fixed it with in 2 hours
last time it took him over a year to say that he can't fix my polysix.
anyway - works again smile
thanks for the advice Brian

Re: Casio CZ101

That's good news! I'm glad you got it working, I love the CZ to bits, don't like seeing them dying.
