2 pieces of Roland R8M, because you can't walk on one leg! And a few PCM Romcards (DRY & Powerdrums USA)
Big phat 80s digidrums, lotsa great toms/kicks and snares even a lot of tr727 sounds andso standard in it.

Looks fun, but I can't see the need for 2 unless you have more than 3 sound cards or more than 4 performance parts that you want to play at one time.

When combining the 2 units I can map all instruments on 2 seperate midichannels, so i can trigger all of the internal sounds without making other programs than 1 initial one, so that i can choose any of the snares or toms without program changes and so. In this way i can ride my keyboard while playing a beat a filling up a spot on the fly. 1 R8M + 1 PCM Rom per unit and then i can have 2 x 5 octaves full of digidrums. I dont need to transpose that much in this matter also smile

Nice thing mono smile Is that a variable sine to saw and one sine to square variable osc?

Re: What new booty have you acquired?

ER-1 can produce some nice sounds in the vein of zaps and lasers. i sampled my friends machine a few years ago but these are the only sounds that made it for me.

edit: it was the Mk II version

225 what?

CRACKED BY MR. Z...

Re: What new booty have you acquired?

I tried a PCP-330 recently, which is the same as the VF-11, and I wasn't too impressed, especially when I tried the Ableton Vocoder te same day which is a bit better and free if you use Live 8.
But 225 euros is maybe a bit more than it should go for in europe, if it's USD it's around market value for these.

Re: What new booty have you acquired?

Couple of new little friends.

I couldn't resist a Microkorg for $250 Cdn. locally. I just kept hearing more and more about them and decided to take a chance. It might not be the only synth you'll ever need but with everything else I have it has been kind of a neat little tool this week. No vocoder mic with it but I wouldn't use it anyway.

What I'm most excited about though is the Bugbrand Board Weevil I got in the mail the other day. I can't put it down the little thing sounds so insane. I have just been playing with it on its own but a guy just put up a crazy video of it through a reverb http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7XsvxFIrrJ0. I swear to god this thing came from HELL!

Re: What new booty have you acquired?

My quest for the ultimate sequencer continues! New this time is the MV-8000. I've already found some stupid design flaws, but I think I could live with them... Nice step edit also! My biggest problem so far is that I haven't found a way to quantize note duration, or even change the duration of multiple notes at a time. sad Any MV-users here, by the way?

Also, in the other ring corner, the Atari MEGA ST2 with Midex+ has just arrived... wink Battle of the sequencers!
