Topic: Record fairs in Scotland...?
Any Scot bots know of any record fairs in Scotland? Missed one in Edinburgh at the weekend which was ok when I was at it before.
Have a car now so plan to source em out when I get the chance.

They periodically have them in the town halls in Dundee and Perth. I haven't been to one in ages as they always seem to been at times when A) I have already overspent on records B) I'm working or got some heavy uni work on.
When I did go to the one in Dundee there was some nice Kraftwerk stuff, and a bit of disco.
Should of consulted Google, first hit. Cheers.
Ta, Scott.
Actually seems to be loads this month and next month. Other suggestions/experiences welcome..
IMO the Dundee ones are not worth the effort any more. The eBay revolution killed them off.
They used to be major affairs though. I
the last one that i went to that was listed on that site, about a year or so ago, was complete shit, if i'm honest.
it was in the library over at hillhead near glasgow uni, just full of run of the mill classic rock crap.
that put me off them, but i guess i would probably be willing to give one a try again if it comes past glasgow. definitely wouldn't travel to go to one of them though.
i remember going to one in oban and picking up some krafwerk bootlegs, the only sort of interesting stuff you find at these things.
sometimes you even have to pay to go inside and have a look i think. there was a good one in aberdeen once with alot of the stuff from the caverns vaults. nice to find but overpriced as usual.
There is a big one at the Kelvin Hall once a year but its mainly rock and other shite.
Heading to bent cosmic-secret mecca, Peebles tomorrow
Will report back if anything other than Harry Secombe 12''s rear their head
speaking of bent cosmic-secrets I found a copy of Loud E and Baldelli favourite Hot R.S - House of the Rising Sun 12" in a charity shop in St Andrews for
so was there anything decent?
Nah it was dung and tiny. About 12 crates on one side of a small masonic hall and the rest CDs!! Bruce Springstein Vs Scottish Folk and the like.
Made up for it tho with a couple of online bargains. Theres one in Dungfermline at the bottom of my road in a few weeks so will pop in there. Wont be holding my breath for goodies tho.
yeah sounds about the same as that one i went to.
that sucks, don't think there's really anywhere in scotland with good crate digging opportunities .
