great interview, thanks !
great! checking now
hey, so Members Only edits is by jamal moss? koolexx, kind of makes sense in the gritty and raw department.
nice interview, nice guy to btw
yeah I think it's like the last good label that's left in the US
I got about half of them, and I always check their new releases, always take chances and looks for unheard of
new talent which is good considering he could have gone Jamal/Poindexter/Adonis on everything and get better sales.
don't like the Edits Only stuff tho, half the time it sound like stuff somebody made on his walkman.
talkin bout math, if he's 36 what was he when he went to see Ron @ the musicbox- 12yo ?
without a question one of my top 5 currently active musicians in any genre...great interview...
great, bought his latest double 12 recently
that shit is inspiring.
really fucking cool for sure.
excellent read.
Yeah...great read!
Mathematics is a cool label...love all the raw stuff on his label, especially that Chris Moss Acid release!
Shame he cancelled his tour to europe would love to hear a raw set.
great find!
but what's that cool looking drum machine in the picture again though?
good read, love his label too
seems like very down to earth guy with his head screwed on
boss dr 5
hehe, had one to but broke the inside plate where the chips are welded on by pressing the buttons to hard
"If I gotta be up by seven, out of the house by eight-fifteen to be at work at nine and then I don
yeah i hear jamal on that quote. going to school and producing is a drag also.
Is the Boss DR5 like the 660? Never heard it I guess its the sound on his records.
yeah excellent interview. mathematics is on fire at the moment and some real varied stuff being released. loving the les aeroplanes 12''.

No, not really the sound on his records, unless he procesed it. It's not a very special drummachine. Lot's of samples, but no tuning.
does anybody know any of the gear jamal uses?

yeah, I thought the same. I got all the new mathematics, but that long slow house track on this 12 is simply amazing. One of the coolest house tracks in some time imo..
great stuff, cheers elec pt.1
