hard not to be a hater after reading all that crap from BIAS and seeing how he thinks he's some kind of 'next level mp3 provider' and is so serious about his pretentious trance shows with horrible attitude and pretentious humour in the name of trying to look "cool" (which has already left him in the joke category)

@bias, dolcevita and C.:
come on guys, are we believing everything the ''media'' says all of a sudden? why is it that if there is something written about any of the people from the hague in the press and there is some stupid claim in there, the fault is with the media, but if there is an article like this, then suddenly its the artists who are at fault. we all know the music media love to hype things up, especially in the UK.
wanna criticize? go for it. but use arguments, dont just call people assholes because of some magazine article.
you're such a moron cebteq - you have a go at other people for making base attacks and then do it yourself!
@ Rude66 - exactly.

did you read this article?
"italo has been building again for about four years now, it's finally coming to true form" ?
"what is important to this music (italo?) is spirt of underground..." yes, spirit of undeground is really important in a music that was done for the money, to be played in radios, discotheques etc.
this is just too stupid, it's quoted, so it's not something journalist came up with...

"italo has been building again for about 4 years now, it's finally coming to form" - I think they know a bit more about the UK italo scene than you do!!
as for your weird response to the "what is important to this music (their music) is the spirit of the underground" quote - you obviously know nothing about the UK and its music or what we listen to then. Maybe you make your music for money, radios, and clubs but we do it for the music. And that is an important spirit to maintain, what's stupid about pointing that out to NME readers?
and the idea that something is "too stupid for a journalist to come up with" is laughable. To be honest you can't even trust what's written as quotes from the band. It's all paraphrased by somebody else and re-edited. Often people's words become misrepresented...
uk italo scene?
scene of people playing italo records?
we make music and we like italo. that kind of a scene. der...
edit: have you ever actually been to the UK?
@bias: i'm a journalist (an official one with a degree.. ) and i'm afraid casionova is right..a lot of times stuff is quoted not right, totally out of context or as an interpretation by the journalist. why do you think anyone who is anything these days insists on using a recorder for interviews? its so there is a backup of stuff thats actually said.
you have a point about the underground stuff. Casionova: he meant the original italo, which was indeed meant to be commecial music and not at all as ''underground''.
but bias, you have to look at whats going on now and italo certainly doesn't have that position anymore. same thing happened here with gabber for instance: at the high point of it you sell millions, a year later youre happy with selling 500 copies so then indeed you can say it went back to the underground, as in: only the people who do it for love of the music remain, no matter how bad it sells.
also take into account the article itself is very much written from a UK point of view and for an UK audience, which is entirely different from something like mainland europe or the US..
agree completely - but I still think a surprisingly large amount of the original artists who remain DJing and producing are now doing it purely for the love of it. They make more money from their day-jobs by a long way. I suspect underneath that they might have been tempted by riches and fame back in the day but a sincere love of music was also a big part of it always. That's why the music stands the test of time and we listen to it now.
ok, so you just said heartbreak don't make italo, so what is this article about? heartbreak or italo disco? i'm lost...
