Some tighter pics. Yeah I had lots of fun with the sequencer clock and mixers last night. Sounds soon.
mekonin - how do you like the DRS-78? I really liked the demos of the VRS-23 at Bluesynths. Dynacord stuff has a touch of "exotic" for me because you don't see it around here very much.
it is exotic. very dark and not suitable for general usage. i prefer delay instead of reverb. lots of inputs and outputs. there's a simple eq on the delay where you can choose the range you want to be delayed. i still need to explore it fully. it's got a nice repeat function where it just loops endlessly whatever it is processed at the moment. can't find the way to speed the loop though. does anyone maybe have a manual for it?

I'm up for a large TV purchase soon too. Can you elaborate how you dealt with the Plasma vs LCD decision?
.. can't find the way to speed the loop though.
unfortunately the DRS78 can't..
but its a supercool machine though. some day i'll buy one myself..
i've seen a few on evilbay for 200eur or something in mint, i think that's a good price for such a cool piece of machine

traded a yamaha RM-50 (with internal memory expansion and 3 cards)
for an e-mu morpheus! (with a RAM card)
excited! - had no real use for the RM-50 anymore, and I've always wanted to play with z-plane filters.

how many do you own already?

I got my 2nd one last week, with JL Cooper midi this time, now I have the sounds mapped in Ableton, it's great!
After some tests I can say midi module and sync are pretty tight, but sync in with 96ppqn from Ableton audio is tighter
I'll sell the other one, no need for two here.

MFB 522 drumcomputer ... the rimshot is broken so I have to get another one from the shop...I bet that it will take ages again =/

DX200
wow that MFB522 is real small, I see it now in comparison with the DX200 (enjoy it, I hope you make great sounds with it ). Its just a liitle bit bigger than a pack of cards hehe. Too bad of the rimshot. I see only 1 tom/conga btw, has it only 1 tom or are there more hidden via shift options orso?

you have to use the shift option to play high/mid/low tom and conga...same for the clave and rimshot. these shift instruments share one channel with another one. you can't play snare and rimshot at once for example, but it's possible to use both in the same pattern. but you can use that to kill the long sound of an open hihat when you put a closed right after it for example. all in all a great little machine and I really hope the shop I got it from answers my mail now.
and many thanks for the dx200, seems not very hard to get some decent sounds with it!
two more Yamaha Ed-10's
Just bought a future retro revolution. I was gong to buy the Orb sequencer but the the revolution was only
gitano style, you can see me play it at various squares in dutch cities, right next to the indian flute guys.

My dad is in the hague and has an accordion, y'all should jam.
Omg!!!!
Nice haul at a pawn shop today.
They'd had a Crumar Multiman S/2 upstairs where people usually don't go because it's not advertised and I've humed and hawed at getting it forever because it looks perfect but who knows how it will work and if these things are broken they're apparently unfixable but finally today I thought I'm going to go get this thing before somebody else does. Because I do love me a string synth. And I thought working or not, if I give him a hundred bucks, then I won't care if it doesn't work.
So I go there to make a deal on the Crumar and I look behind him at his desk and he's got a DR-110 sitting in its vinyl case looking marvelous that I've never noticed there before. Not a major score but I was hoping to find one locally to try it out as I'd traded away my DR-55 earlier this year for a Pearl SC-40 (Syncussion X) drum brain and heard it had the 808 clap.
He wanted $150 for the DR-110 and the Crumar so I thought if I'm going to do that I want the Alesis MMT-8 that he's got up there doing nothing. Not that an MMT-8 is amazing by any means but I hear it is pretty easy to use and hey I wanted to see if I could get it as a throw in and he said OK.
So long story short for $150 Canadian today I got
-Basically mint Crumar Multiman S/2 (such nice brass filter...oooh.)
-Absolutely mint DR-110 in vinyl case with instruction booklet.
-Absolutely mint Alesis MMT-8 with manual and power supply.
Edmonton is not great for finds but it is always nice to not pay shipping. Who knows what it would cost to get a Mutliman shipped from somewhere.
