Topic: korg esx1 question

since i cant find an sp12,
i was loading sp12 samples to the esx1 from the memory card. ( i tried both wav and aiff files). for some reason i can only load them to the sample section of the thing (it has an "s"  after the number for the sample number(001S)).. this all works fine and i can load the sample.. then when i try to put them into a bank for a pattern, i can only load them on drum part 1,3,5,6a,6b,7a,7b.. i can no longer put any type of sound on 2 and 4.. it makes no sense.. i thought i was low on memory so i deleted some stuff and same thing. i also tried to load from the card into the other areas of sample sounds and that wont work. if i load samples i already had in there it works normally. i cant figure it out.
i havent used this thing in a while, but i dont remember having problems loading samples from the card. i know i didnt cause i erased most of the factory sounds and replaced them this way.
it must be something in the loading process. i need to be able to load the samples into the normal section (like so it show a normal number without an s (001)

yes, i have the volume and pitch and all that stuff up..

Re: korg esx1 question

Thats very funny my sp12 samples have the s too. It is because they are stereo samples. You will need to convert them to mono (not sure if you can do it on the esx, try software). Sample parts 1/2 and 3/4 are stereo parts. Thats why they say 1/st 2/-. I think we have the same sp12 samples. I love that kick.

Re: korg esx1 question

ahh.. ok, that makes perfect sense.. thank you.. i even took the time to convert them from wav to aif.. but i left them in stereo..

thank you.

Re: korg esx1 question
