Just finished Joseph Conrad - The Secret Agent. Highly recommended
John Lydon - Rotten (No Irish, No Blacks, No Dogs)

Haha! Really? I thought my dislike of whiney girls was a male thing.
I thought this was whiney too, not one of his best. The Wind Up Bird Chronicle is brilliant.
Understanding Power: The Indispensable Chomsky - Noam Chomsky
summer readings:
doyle the adventures
littell les bienveillantes
pinget autour de mortin
kristof trilogy of city of k
Been reading a lot of the Thorgal comics lately. It's as good as I remembered it, or perhaps better.
Clavia G2X reference manual (on paper)
Complete Mining Guide v2.2 (on pdf)

I gotta try that one, I really like his style.
lion feuchtwanger - the jewess of toledo
@Discontinues: WUBC was the first book of Murakami's I read a few years back and a good way to start reading his work, I think. Unfortunately Norwegian Wood was early in his career and criticised because it was too "pop" and Americanised. The plot of WUBC will blow your mind. It does get quite gruesome at times, one of the stories in the very convoluted plot follows a soldier on a secret mission in WW2 on the border of Manchuria and Siberia, and his company are discovered by the violent Russian/Mongolian troops.

Gordon Burn - Somebody's Husband, Somebody's Son: The story of the Yorkshire Ripper
The back of a matchbox
Richard Dolan - UFO's and the national security state
Stephen Blush - American Hardcore
Albert Mudrian - Choosing death
All very good besides being toxic
The Haunter of the Dark: And Other Grotesque Visions
Totally nuts graphic novel of HP LoveCraft's The Call of Cthulhu illustrated by John Coulthart...
Also, The Walking Dead Book 8: Made To Suffer.
More shocking zombie madness, keeps getting better!
hey has anyone read Shantaram?
its sitting by my bed threatening to be read
I read it a few years ago. some parts need persistence, but all in all I would recommend it, as it is an excellent story.
I'm reading Spook Country by William Gibbson just now. It seem to not break any new ground.
Herman Melville 'Moby Dick' and the latest issue of Viz.

Okay, many thanks for the tip! I shall try it. His books are now slowly translated into Dutch too. Not that it matters to me, I prefer English anyway, but it shows his popularity.
i just got me an ebook reader
anyboty know of sites to download e books?
Is it better than Glamorama?
I havn't read Glamorama yet...I read American Psycho last year, but I was given Less Than Zero for my birthday so i've been reading them in order. Will advise when I get to Glamorama.
If you havn't read his other books though, reading them in the order they were written is cool because a lot of the characters tie in in some way, or make cameo kind of appearances throughout the stories...picked up on a lot of them in American Psycho especially
