@minimalrome: excellent! congratulations!
yeah Ruud!
We got it for the MR familia
@automatique:
What is up with idiots who dont understand packing something for shipping. I once got a jx-3p off ebay that came with a case. if would have been a great buy if the synth HAD FIT IN THE CASE. it was boucing all round in the case and managed to ruin all the knobs and some keys! great!
imo that is just a way to sell broken stuff and claim it afterwards on the shipping that it is defective. On the other hand, the world is filled with idiots
Thats indeed a invidious tactic to sell broken gear. But I guess this seller never sold and shipped a synth before. There was no space at the side panels in the box. So every time the parcel was stabled the synth got a batch. And there weren't any warning signs "attention breakable" on the parcel. Very irresponsible. Hope I get my money back.
A friend of mine is leaving the country for a year and has asked me to babysit the following while he's away:
Rhodes Stage 73
Fender P-Bass
Moog Voyager OS
Assorted Moogerfoogers
RE-501
I said yes.
I feel very fortunate, yes! The Voyager OS is very cool (not here yet but I've played with it many times at my friend's place). Truthfully I'm more excited about having a Rhodes and Space Echo together in the same room than I am about the OS. I just hope I don't get lost on some kind of jazz odyssey.
That Akai thing looks cool too...never seen one of those before. Let us know what you think!
RS7000
finally i found one to a more or less affordable price. Very happy that i can keep my computer switched off for making music. Seemes like I have to spend lotsa time to learn how to work with it though.
it's called a Ken Multi...looks like i'm on a Ghetto FX shopping spree these days

I got my money back! Fine!
Akai Ewv-2000, dual voice analog synth for Evi wind controller
http://i305.photobucket.com/albums/nn22 … W_7469.jpg
I bought it without the wind controller, in the hopes of having my tech put cv inputs.
The EVI-1000 that normally controls it is analog, so it should be possible.
It was cheap so I took a chance
Maybe those newer AKAI windcontrollers are compatible with that thing or not?
that akai synth reminds me of those bedside monitoring instruments you see in hospitals...
oh yea, i got this:
quite possibly the finest coaster i've ever had.
man ive been wanting to fuck around with those wind controllers... seems interesting. wonder if you can morph the sound with your breath more than just gate.
The Evw-2000 doesn't have a midi in and can only be controlled by the Evi-1000 or Ewi-1000.
I have no idea what these things send out but I've read on the net it's analog.
I think it send 4 different voltage for noise mix, bend, glide and vibrate, probably a gate too.
The synth has its own envelopes, I think it uses the synth on a chip cem also used in the Six-trak.
Yeah Akai design is not pretty, the pots and buttons feel high end, just like hospital equipment too.
this:
Moog CP251 + VX351 + rackkit
And:
I am gonna rape it with my CV plug from behind
ow i forgot these
Wow some hard rocking gear there, filter and extra CV for the win.
eagerly awaiting a 303 in the post
it looks like you're gonna have fun tonight

XOXBOX???
yea, pre-assembled. the waiting list scenario wasn't working out for me. sounds close enough for half the price.
Where did you get it?
i think there's a guy selling them fully assembled and tested on ebay. he must have rooted a bunch of kits on his own.
was following the waiting list myself for a while but that shit ain't working out too well...
don't order through ebay! buy directly from the company. it's cheaper and he's open to duty "arrangements".
nice site too: http://x0xsource.com/
