JX-3P
ATC-1
Already have the MKS-30, but the filters, sequencer and looks of the JX-3P was too nice to resist. Got it for something like 170

For that Bioxi Frizzi Tempera sound!!!
when you gonna score a MAM RS3? thats also frizzi style effecting
Based on the Korg PS3100 triple resonator, awesome on cheap dco strings
(ow and a secret Sylvester string trick also hehe)
I had one a few years sold it to get a Moog 12 stage phaser but sold that too...all I need is the EXH Small stone (even though its a totally different style phaser)...should I buy an EHX microsynth too, it looks cool.
iam still curious about that EHX flanger hoax thingy
that RS3 isnt a phaser btw thats 3 x BP filter + 1 x LFO + Env follower. Although it gives phaser like effects, thats true..)
Its rally a lowbudget thing, but I will replace it without a doubt when it will be defect or so. Makes al those sterile VA stuff very organic, I loved the RS3 over the PRO12 ASB for instance, instant frizzi stuff..

yeah it sound really great, but its also a bit complicated pedalboard, not your average flanger, thats why I like it...would love to see a synthfreak videoing that thing instead of a strat-lover

Which one of these (> http://www.pedalarea.com/small_stone.htm )? Just for the nerd in me

i have version 1 and version 5 , and IMO version 1 sounds much more alive and has a bigger depth rate.
btw Freek, just curious , how do you manage to lose a stompbox ?
it's not something that falls out of your pocket..
so called friends that lend stuff and dont return... and when you ask about it after years they say they cant remember or give it back broken. Happend more than once..
Prophet 600 coming the mail.
oooh. vnice. which one did you buy?
There was one on VSE for $550 that just needs one of the oscillators scaled, which looks like a simple procedure (the scaling procedure is explained in detail in the user manual as well...thank you SCI).
In the end it worked out the way people here suggested...I've ended up with a Pro One and a Prophet 600 for less than I'd pay for a Prophet 08.
Anyone want to buy a Juno 106?
me want!

tssss... bastards.
don't these people know they gain bad karma by pulling that shit off ?
Like in : nobody will ever like their music or stuff like that ...
And it can't possibly feel good to be using gear you stole.? From friends ?
Or will they be like : yeah i beat the system ! just stole this of so and so... i'm so smart..
... sorry ranting on here just don't get shit like that.
I don't lend anything out anymore, which makes me look like a jerk sometimes but I don't care. I used to lend out tons of LPs and CDs unless it was really rare but too many LPs and CDs (and DVDs for that matter) never came back.
If people want to use gear they can use it at my house.
After learning the hard way I don't lend gear out any more either.
- I lent out a Drumulator that was in mint condition, got it back six months later with a big chip out of it and some stupid stickers on it.
- I also had a 'friend' who borrowed a CS-15 for a show and then LEFT IT AT THE FUCKING VENUE (thankfully I recovered it a few weeks later).
Never again.

ok, a chip out of the drumulator sucks big time
and leaving a borrowed CS15 at a venue is pretty braindead,
but where does anybody get the great idea to put stickers on stuff that's not yours ???
I never understood this mentality.
People know they have your stuff but they figure it's theirs until/if you ask for it back, usually they'll tell you "sure, come and get it"
This used to happen to me in university, with the so called "experimental" artsy crowd.
It's the hippy mentality, of course they're always the ones borrowing.
or maybe it's just canadians, since we're three in a row complaining here.
I never lend anything except to my ocd architect friend who'll probably fix something on it and bring it back within a week.
Lending cd's or dvd's is impossible these days, you ask people to bring them back, they never do and when you ask them for it, 9 people out of ten look like they're surprised you're asking that big a favor, but like, ok, come and get it.
my theory is that christianity based cultures devalue property and value "sharing" and guilt, so people use those "principles" for their personal advantage.

Not so surprisingly, it was exactly the same kind of people in my situation(s).
The sticker thing was very annoying, especially since my protest to the stickers was met with soimething to the tune of "well, they'll come off".
And yes, after dude left my synth at the venue, *I* was the one who went to pick it up.
N-E-V-E-R trust a hippy.
