Topic: Prophet 600 tuning question

Has anyone here performed the oscillator tuning procedure on the Prophet 600 before? 

I had a key trigger issue with my new Prophet 600 and when I had it open I noticed that the two pins on the CPU board I'm supposed to jumper when doing the tuning procedure are pretty bent. 

I don't want to risk breaking them off bending them back, so I'm wondering if it's possible to "jumper' the two pins simply by connecting some wire between them.  Would bridging the pins with an alligator clip also work?
