I know techno seems to be a dirty word these days with all the trendys going "minimal" and dressing like architects but we've all got our guilty pleasures

and yeah fuck that whole aversion against the word techno, even though though its still the most widespread style around.
Remember when I wrote 'detroit techno' and some people where honestly like "isn't that from the nineties?".
Is there such a thing as minimal disco?
Minimal Disco. Now there's an idea.
I've been toying with this idea for a few hours now and I'm totally up for having a go at it. In some ways the closest thing we have already to "minimal" disco is Black Devil Disco Club. But I'm sure it's just about porting the already existing language of disco (specific drum machines / acoustic drum samples) and essentially stuff, though permitted digitally, can only be achieved with analog equipment.
