Re: your last purchases of records

no, I'm afraid I don't listen to vinyl that much anymore. And that's exactly how I feel about it, like my own private little mini revolution. Shifting from music lover to commercial trader. I'm not saying I regret it, but it took some time to get used to the idea. I still feel strange about selling vinyls I bought in the 80's, while I miss that feeling completely with the stock bought in the last years. And now I'm thinking, should I quit other work, rent some large place and become a large seller? I think I will.

So you didn't buy them for yourself but to sell them to someone else. Can you still call this "YOUR last purchase of records" I wonder. Technically yes, but if you're not going to listen to them, well it's just business right? A nice business but still maybe better put these in the "trade-sell-threads"....?? Just a thought.

great find! been looking for that one for ages. expensive?

Re: your last purchases of records

Thanks! It was pretty reasonable but only a VG copy. Not too happy with how it plays, moderate surface noise but thought I should grab it nonetheless.

agreed, and i said this before. it's nice to follow peoples finds and see a short comment maybe if they like or don't like it.
but just saying: 'i bought 10.000 LP's' is not really saying a lot.
10.000 LP's of 'Alle 13 Goed' and 'James Last op Klompen'?

Edit: I like the pictures of your house and the explosion of vinyl inside, kind of makes me feel a bit less guilty about my own obsession smile

Re: your last purchases of records

Bought this CD http://www.discogs.com/Fred-Myrow--Malc … ase/560019 for 1 Euro though the (apparently great) booklet was missing. Didn't know whether it was any good, but a soundtrack for a movie called Phantasm from '79 with tracktitles like Phantasmagoria, Silver Sphere Disco, Spacegate To Infinity, this was a risk I was willing to take. Looks like it was a good bet, as the LP is rahter rare/wanted. Will listen soon!

Vision Talk - Dirty Italo Disco CD (Space Sound)

found that one for cheap (16 e) at demon fuzz some years ago. Actually loude found it first but he didnt like sylvi foster.
At first i thought it was a bootleg because no discomagic logo & stamp, and spelling errors but then it appeared to be like that. Eventually traded it away for a nice italo (forgot what it was)  but judging by the prices on discogs i definately undertraded...

when did i say that? are you sure? ok it's not a top top want because it's a bit generic but i'd be very happy to find it...

Re: your last purchases of records

because of the price

2,044

Re: your last purchases of records

well...no. I wouldnt sell it and it was already on my wantlist before i came to understand it was pretty rare. Just a very solid and rare electro wave track with slightly annoying yet endearing vocals.

I can imagine some amazingly beautiful italian art school twat being asked to do the vocals on this song by this intruiging yet slightly nerdy guy from her class.

Yes, I could knakenpoets till I was old and grey or just buy it and enjoy it while I'm still (relatively) young.  Tough decision I know... ;-)  Had quite some good finds at DF too X-:  You undertraded...well it's a winning a losing game in the end, right? And Loud E didn't like it? Man, that guy has such bad taste!! :-)

edit: just read you "undertraded"...
