The "Mindless Boogie/Don't Turn It Off" 12 is an amazing record from Hot Chocolate, even down to the artwork. And their cover of "Walking on the Moon" from the Class lp is worthy too. Plus, "Night Ride" on the Going Through the Motions lp is nice.

Every Friday Night We Dress In Black
About Hot Chocolate. Their hits, although not so "salonfahig" around here maybe, are also "great" I think. I played this CD grey (oh you can only do that with LPs, right? :-) when I was a kid. It's great soulful pop.

the whole album (trans) is very cool. lots of guitar mixed with vocoder stuff, lyrics about computers, etc. amnd absolutely hated by neil young fans, so you can buy it very cheap!

yeah, my brother is 7years older and always used to listen to guitar music, absolutely kinks fan, neil young and so, and so i know from him and his friends, they call EVERYTHING not guitar music till 92 acid or hip hop, later also techno
(fortunaly he is a bit health and like some electronic sounds now, first on britpop stuff and so, but on the other hand i recorded him the grauzone lp, he shows me some newer work of stephan eicher of grauzone, much guitar, folk /chansons ect (boring to me), but I was surprised on that there was also some electronic songs between the other stuff...)
maybe we should open an extra thread for that stuff...
