Topic: [ wanted ] 1GB SanDisk CF cards or SD cards

Looking only for cards of the SanDisk brand
and with a maximum size of 1 GB.

... my MPC can only handle up to 1 GB
but these guys aren't for sale anymore in regular shops.

Easiest would be if someone in The Hague has some.

we have a photoshop around the corner and they have them up to 4gb. i bought one two weeks ago. a 1gb costs 14.99euro and the 2gb is 24.99.

are you shure your mpc reads 1gb only? i

Mayebe you can format a bigger card to 1gb?

@DamDuram : Is arouind the corner from you in The Hague ?  Then i'll go and get a few of the 1 GB cards.
I use a 2000XL . That only can use up to 1 GB.

@ BMX: Yes i've read it should be possible to just take a 2GB card , and the MPC only will use 1 GB.
But this weekend i've lost some valuable data, probably because of using a card that wasn't
recommended for use with MPC's  ( it wasn't SanDisk... ) so i'm not gonna take any more chances
with using bigger cards then recommended, and just only use up to 1GB cards.

My guess is there are a lot of these cards lying around not being used because everyone is now using much
bigger cards in their stuff.
But my need isn't so high anymore because in the mean time i already salvaged a few cards.

Still interested in more though !

check marktplaats, plenty of those older ones for sale for nothing usually.. i needed one thats less that 250 mb for an old camera (same problem as you, doesn't read bigger ones) and i got 3 cards for sometihing like 10 euro..

Actually already bought two cards through Marktplaats and got one from a friend, so i'm set for now.
Can't imagine no other cards turning up sooner or later locally.
