Re: aliens

There are lots of facts in this thread. My point, which im not gonna cut out anymore in cardboard, was simply that a lot of what we take for given (fact) is in fact not given at all.

Re: aliens

I read of an experiment where they found that if you stimulate a certain part of the brain during sleep people would actually have dreams about aliens and abductions. I don't understand why and they didn't explain but my guess is some kind of primal subconscious fear. Some interpretation of a dream of aliens is meant to signify fear of of changing surroundings.

A friend who was studying a Korean marital art mentioned he discussed with monks about aliens and they have been in touch with them through meditation and they where here observing us and would help us if things went wrong.

Of course beyond our earth is life that much is sure but if and how they could reach us during this time and such distance is another matter. Still time might be somewhat directly under their control.

Personally I don't know what I believe but I hope they really are around because we are on one way ticket to oblivion and our only hope is technological singularity or direct intervention.

Re: aliens

Yeah i read that about mclelland yesterday too, will be interesting to see how far this goes. These people are close this whole exopolitics movement (preparation for change in politics to adapt to ET existence and communication), and the guy on hte link michael salla is kinda one of the leading lights in that. http://www.exopolitics.org.uk/

So as long as no evidence, all this can be just reduced to irrational cult-like behaviour from the powers that be...

Wasubot i think youre talking about research into sleep paralysis? Theres a topic over at cbs where we discussed that. I tried it myself and i experienced some of those same things that alien abduction people report - blue light coming through the window, weird noises etc. But im pretty sure it was "just a dream" (although a very bad one)

Re: aliens

all 'alien contacts' ever promoted from any government agent is desinfo.
there were several (broadcasted) meetings of hundreds of highly ranking officials that claimed
having contact with lifeforms from outer space.
on the beginning, they promised to show significant evidence.
after 90 minutes of talking nonsense, the showed nothing.

same with every alien video on the web - all 100% fake.
alien phenomena was discovered many decades ago as a powerful tool to confuse and therefore fill
people's minds with bullshit.
it may be fascinating to imagine earth could have contact with aliens, but i'm sure we'll never have.
even a million years time means nothing compared to the 'universe time' -
average 80 years we are living are NOTHING in the Universe; they wanna tell us within
not a second 'universal time' spaceships landed on the earth?
by the way - all those spaceships ever faked on the videos always look like the typica style of designing
things of it's decade; from the 50s up to today.

this alien thing is especially dangerous in important polticial events.
if you're against an offical explanation for something, they spread alien disinfo, then call you a conspiracy
theorist 'ooh, this guy also surely would believe in little green men walking on the moon'.

it's always that simple - unfortunately.

Re: aliens

e-control, i dont believe its all that simple. If you wanted to make the waters even more murky, you could make it even more covered up, by gradually leaking into the public information of all the ET-contactee movements being CIA sponsored, midcontrol projects etc. which is becming more acceptable a theory now because of nick redfern and others. But what if much of that is also disinfo, but on another level? That would be even more perfect a cover up, for whatever it is that UFO's is.

I dont really have a side that i hold onto, but its interesting just how many have it that way...so easy to manipulate human beings belief systems unfortunately, wether or not that belief system is a belief in aliens, it can still be a screwed up logic.

Re: aliens

Read some Jacques Vallee -- he has some interesting things to say about ufologists.

http://www.ufoevidence.org/documents/doc839.htm

In his recent autobiographical book, Forbidden Science, Vallee summed up his views about the provenance of UFOs, a viewpoint that he's developed through decades of research: "The UFO Phenomenon exists. It has been with us throughout history. It is physical in nature and it remains unexplained in terms of contemporary science. It represents a level of consciousness that we have not yet recognized, and which is able to manipulate dimensions beyond time and space as we understand them." So much for anti-gravity-powered starships ferrying Big Brothers from outer space. Vallee thinks UFOs are likely "windows" to other dimensions manipulated by intelligent, often mischievous, always enigmatic beings we have yet to understand. (60 Greatest Conspiracies of All Time covers Vallee's theories in detail.)

No other UFO researcher has contributed more to an admittedly controversial field. But Vallee commands a measure of respect that must leave his colleagues feeling a bit envious. Even Philip Klass, the avionics expert and the media's favorite UFO-debunker, calls Vallee "one of the more distinguished members of the pro-UFO community." Vallee, he adds, "is one of the brighter physical scientists who believes in UFOs."

Vallee moved to America from his native France in the early 1960s, as young astronomer-turned-computer scientist. Vallee pioneered the use of computers to analyze and categorize the UFO phenomenon, and his 1965 book, Anatomy of a Phenomenon, is still considered one of the most scholarly books on UFOs ever written. At Northwestern University, Vallee assisted Prof. J. Allen Hynek, the academic consultant on the Air Force's infamous Project Bluebook, now seen by most saucer students as either a half-hearted government effort to address the UFO craze of the 1950s and 1960s or a full-blown coverup. While working with Hynek, Vallee and his wife, Janine, compiled the first-ever computer database of UFO sightings.

In 1969, Vallee published another groundbreaking book, Passport to Magonia, in which he collected a body of folkloric "myths" that read remarkably like modern UFO encounters, from Celtic tales of fairyland abductions to Biblical passages and medieval chronicles of "visitors" from beyond. Building on Carl Jung's thesis that UFOs are a sociological phenomenon, a product of the collective unconscious, Vallee forever left behind the space-bound E.T. theorists. But his folklorist's approach to the problem would influence a number of later researchers and writers who continue to echo his ideas about other-dimensional forms of consciousness. Best-selling author Whitley Strieber, Harvard "abductee psychologist" John Mack, and journalist Keith Thompson (author of Angels and Aliens all owe a debt to Vallee. Stephen Spielberg paid homage to Vallee in Close Encounters of the Third Kind, basing his French scientist character (played by Francois Truffaut) on the real French UFO theorist.

Re: aliens

cool. i'll have to read some of that. thank you!

Re: aliens

Dave Emory picks up on some of the same issues as Vallee, and is well inspired by him. Check out http://www.wfmu.org/playlists/DX . I cant listen to too much of it though, as his voice gets annoying. But its a shortcut to finidng out a lot of things.

Regarding radio transmissions, in May I went to this, Australia's first transmission over the Deep Space Communications Network. Not your standard broadcast it included a half hour monologue about love delivered to deep space, by an artists with the huskiest voice this side of the horsehead nebula, if that doesn't get them here nothing will...
