Macbeth M5N semi modular

It's funny you didn't see these for sale forever and then all of a sudden I've seen like ten in the past three months. But I mean given the price of a 2600 it's a pretty good deal. Also being recently made it will be more reliable and supported.

Each video I've seen of one has been pretty decent.

It is funny that you mention this. On an impulse buy figuring it'd be cheaper than any other modular of the same size, I bought this big modular (http://analogcustom.blogspot.com/2008/0 … dular.html) that these guys in Chile made off Ebay. And I started using it about a week ago after the convertor got here.

And I'm sitting there making leads and basses and having fun but then I was like "Everything modulates everything else...why I don't start making CRAZY shit?" So Saturday night (about 0430) when i had my epiphany I start  playing around with craziness. And am anxious to get going again tonight. I had the same thoughts. My Cat and 202 and ATC can make the monosynth sounds...it's time for CRAZY shit.

Here is the guy's description of the modular in his own words from the Ebay hard sell. Given the price I nearly peed my pants when I read it and instantly bought it. Realizing later that aside from the bottom row I had most of the top two rows covered with my other monosynths (Cat SRM, 202, ATC-1 w all filters). Albeit they're not modular.

But I don't care it sounds very raw and wonderful. Really great action with the envelopes and sequencer. Very tight crisp and clear sound. Have some Pomonas coming in the mail to replace the crappy (his own words) ones that he threw in.

What's the best way to get something from Pro Tools onto a file that's not too big to put up?

The new macbeth modules look and sound pretty amazing and probably a lot less than the M5N.

So much for "a lot less"...

Really? But with that and the back end module you've got all the main feature of the M5N for only 2500 dollars or so in less space. Apparently there's also going to be an M5X as well..

Any examples of non-subtractive modular stuff you'd recommend?
