hm, did we really watch the same docus? what a waste of time...
I didn't like the dokus particularly either. I mean some stage action of Anja Huwe is always impressive and surely the music speaks for itself, but the doku itself was rather dull. I didn't like the second one either except for some classic tracks and the pictures of old and famous clubs, but this lame talking about back to the 70ties and soulful music, back to real music. wtf. And they discovered the trend, ooooui!
yes i agree. especially the house docu was totally lame.
i switched of when it came to uk-rave ...
but funny was dimitri from paris and his complaining about italo, hihi
ok, he has done some good compilations and has a huge collection for sure - but on the other hand he is one of the masters of elevator-music ...

these docus all just scratched the surface a bit. I guess they were meant as introduction for the kids.
Mainly i was disappointed about the other show, that announced to present rare german new wave videos. Markus and Nena videos are rare? This was a bad joke. The Stereo Total guys really did a lame job on the video selection. Why often do people get the chance to present such shows, who have no real clue...? Also their singing in between was bad.
The House docu was weird, then turned to crap when it came to Lady Gaga at the end... What the f*ck??!

yeah that with lady gaga was really crap, but besides that - strange how different views can be..
i mean, for me it was not a house docu but giving an overview from the influence of italo on the early house scene,
how house was influenced by the funk/disco/soul, a look on the commercial stuff but also mentioning the good
(klein & mbo), from loft to paradise garage to the uk as one of the first adapters of the early acid house sound ..
what more to expect in one hour.
even a Maestro or high tech soul docu didn't it for me, because they focus on the real things what's great,
but for that, they don't do enough, the arte docu yesterday just wanted to give an overview for the average consumer, that was ok imo.
but have to agree with you herman13, trio was really the best docu, sometimes those where you expect the least are the best, i almost didnt watch/record it
but the trio docu came already last week and was not the least ...
